Bill Heaston
Program Director
Bill joined Rise Against Suicide in May of 2023. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Bill graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2005. After graduation, he moved to Boston where he worked at a family homeless shelter as a child advocate and mentor through the Boston Public School System.
In 2010, Bill graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master’s Degree in Social Work where he worked with the State of Illinois handling child abuse and neglect investigations. He would later return to Omaha and become an integral figure on the leadership team at Completely KIDS, which is a community organization that serves economically disadvantaged youth and families.
Most recently, Bill has worked in the field of suicide prevention throughout the State of Colorado. An avid Creighton Bluejays basketball fan, Bill loves to adventure and is most happy with his two pups, Millie and Phineas.
